This past weekend a couple of us had the pleasure of packing up a few boards, grabbed a tent (and the family), and headed up to Embers in Oxfordshire, just down-river from Henley-on-Thames for a bit of camping, campfires, and, of course, paddleboarding!
We’d planned a camping weekend at Quarry Farm near Bodiam Castle (highly recommended by the way), and arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday. We (well the kids, then us) were up early Monday morning and we cooked up breakfast over the campfire.
I had wanted to do this trip for a while now – so one hot summer morning we packed up the car early and drove to Carats cafe near the power station on Shoreham harbour. After a sweaty 15 minutes of paddleboard inflation we were ready to go (by the way – we deliver boards pre-inflated to save you time).
